Lessons From Christchurch: Pray Together

The lives claimed by the assailants of the Christchurch, NZ Mosque shootings have only made our faith stronger.

The power of prayer is multiplied tenfold when we pray together. The shameless acts of violence in New Zealand illustrate this perfectly. Had it been only one Muslim killed while praying, it would have been called a simple hate crime. But because the assailant claimed 50 martyrs, the episode has gained worldwide attention & created allies for the faith in ways no one but Allah(SWAT) could have even imagined.

As the imam at Masjid Al-Haqq in Indianapolis said this past Friday:

The killer claimed fifty lives, but the sacrifice of those fifty has already turned into the shahada of THOUSANDS.

Let’s remember that Islam is not only submission to the will of Allah, but also the community of those who have given their hearts & lives to the will of Allah.

In Islam, Shahid, dying as a martyr is the greatest honor one can merit, second only to prophethood. May those who lost their lives reach the greatest heights of Al-Janna.

Ma’shallah.

Artists & designers are fuel for the F.A.M.E event, but in fashion, the product is only as good as the person representing it. Think of our models as the vehicles of the show. They come in all shapes, sizes, backgrounds, and levels of experience, but one thing’s for certain: each brings a “je ne sais quoi” to their craft, the curio they sport, and this show.
